Duncan de Jager has been living with sawdust and resin since he was old enough to hold a grinder. What started as a deep passion for working with raw South African hardwood — shaping it, finishing it, turning it into something that lasts — has grown into a fully equipped workshop and saw mill in Northmead, Benoni, producing custom epoxy resin tables and live edge furniture for clients across Gauteng and beyond.
Investing in his own saw mill changed everything. Instead of relying on timber suppliers, Duncan now controls the entire process — handpicking logs, milling his own slabs, drying and grading the timber in-house. Every piece of hardwood that goes into a De Jager epoxy resin table has already passed Duncan's personal quality check before it ever meets the resin. That level of hands-on control is rare, and it shows in the finished product.
Each custom epoxy table Duncan builds can take three to six weeks — from slab selection and the resin pour, through curing, grinding, sanding, and the final hand-polished finish. He doesn't rush any stage. The piece is going into someone's home for decades. It has to be right, every time.

Our Own Saw Mill
We don't buy from a timber merchant. We mill our own slabs from raw logs — which means better quality control and slabs you simply can't find anywhere else.
Locally Sourced Timber
We work with premium hardwood species — Kiaat, Saligna, Red Iron Bark, Rosewood, White Oak and more. Real wood, real character, sourced and dried in-house.
Fully Custom Every Time
